How to use this resource. . .

Thinking about Design is a resource that can be used over 2 years with a group of students completing Unit 2 VCD, continuing into the following year to complete Unit 3 VCD. Although the Units are stand alone lesson plans (Unit 2 Outcome 1, 2 & 3) and inspiration for the Design Industry response (Unit 3 Outcome 2) and can be taught to 2 different levels of students in the same year, it is possible to use the links evident in the themes and imagery to the same group of students over 2 years. The thinking here is that the students will understand the processes more fully when exploring the Design industry response in Unit 3, due to their hands on experience with applying similar design methods and processes learnt in Unit 2.
